Big Screen: Warm Bodies

If you were expecting for an outfit post or a photodiary or whatever, I was too. In fact, I was scheduled to blog an outfit but it came to me why not take a detour instead? :) Just this weekend I got to see the movie Warm Bodies and boy, one word: Benta! =)) I have quite a lot to say about the film that I wanted to make a review about it! Alrighty, how about a break first from the outfit posts and a movie review for now? Besides, I shall blog about it now before it's too late, if you know what I mean :P

Ok, this is my first time doing a movie review and I'll try try try my best to just share what I think and not spoil those who haven't watched it yet!

Movie: Warm Bodies
Genre: Horror, Romance, Comedy

First things first. I honestly didn't know anything about the movie before it came out in cinemas. I wasn't able to watch a single trailer nor see ads or posters. The first time I heard about it was when it was already showing, thru the tweets of people telling that they just watched/are watching/are about to watch blah blah blah Warm Bodies. Still, I didn't give a single damn especially when I found out it was all about zombies -______-

I mean, seriously, first we had vampires falling in love with mortals and now zombies too? (No offense to the Twilight fans. I watched the movies too, am just not a fan :) Let's put it this way: I'm not a fan of anything re: zombies so I just thought the idea 'was' stupid which made me have low expectations before watching the movie! I expected it to be all corny. I expected it to be foolish.

Fast forward to the ending! Thanks to my low expectations, I ended up loving and finding the movie really 'benta' after all.  I don't know but I think with or without those low expectations, I'd still find the movie great anyway :) I honestly could not really avoid comparing it to Twilight but unlike that vampire movie, Warm Bodies is way lighter in a way that you would really find yourself laughing in between scenes. For this kind of movie, I was expecting to see a lot of zombies eating human with flesh and blood all over the movie screen. Damn, I'm not just into that kind of movies. Yuck. Ew. But on a much much lighter note, it wasn't really at all a zombie apocalypse movie because of the romance, humour and cheesiness squeezed in!

Another thing which made me not interested at first's that I didn't who the actors or actresses were. It was actually only in this movie I get to see them for the first time. Comparing the movie with Twilight is one thing. Comparing the characters is another! Is it only me or the lead actress, Teresa Palmer, somewhat looks like K Stewart in the movie???  I swear they have similarities! I've read it in another reviews and comments too :p I even think Teresa looks like K Stew and J Law combined -____- Anyhoo, I came across these pictures and I just had to include it here. I really find these two beautiful as I was watching the movie :(

Teresa Palmer in a Philip Armstrong dress at the LA premiere of Warm Bodies. Damn, that lace detail is beautifully cut! I couldn't imagine the dress to be more beautiful in any other colour. Black is perfect.

Analeigh Tipton in a Barbara Bui dress and Guiseppe Zanotti sandals. She really looks familiar, I just can't recall where I first saw her. I'm thinking from a show way way back, like the ones from my childhood, I don't knoooow :) Anyway, she's so pretty :( I find her beauty unique :)

Did you know that Warm Bodies is based on Romeo and Juliet??? :) Because I didn't! Hahaha. You didn't see that coming, did you? I mean the zombie-movie-based-on-Romeo-and-Juliet part. :)) I actually only knew about it after I watched the movie and did some research. I said I don't want to spoil too much so why not just see it for yourself? :) I already gave you guys a hint! Let's see if you can figure out how and why :)

I really suggest you go see the film for yourself and tell me what you think :) Aaand of course what you think of my first attempt to write a movie review. Hahaha. Whatcha say? Will you still allow me to write more next time? :/ =)) Whatever, at least this is something new. :)

My zombie movie and heavy dinner dates, my sisters! Love youuuu! :'>

And now the best and for the effin' win movie poster! Something both zombies and mortals can attest to :P
