The Season

Right, right? Christmas season is THE season. It's the season when people are most joyful and thrilled for everything the season has in store. Parties and reunions with families and friends everywhere. Plus it has the power to bring out the kid and generosity in everyone. Aminin! :p After all, it's the season of gift-giving and sharing. Oh, the good vibes this season can bring! Anyhoo, here's a photo diary of how we spent our Christmas Day :)

Blue Christmas

Course I was referring to my outfit! Being blue on Christmas isn't even possible when you spend it with your loved ones. I was just thankful we were able to spend Noche Buena with everyone in the family especially my sister who wasn't duty that day and came all the way from Manila just to spend Christmas Eve here and my brother whose flight is not until the next day. :)

I wanted something not really casual and perfect for the special night. Here's what outfit I came up with :)

My key piece here is actually the trousers. The moment I got this I immediately thought that it 'might' be what I'd wear for Christmas. I tried pairing this with a lot of tops, particularly plain ones in different colors. I found it too boring so imagine my joys when I found this printed top at the store :D

I just had to wear that silver and sort of sparkly head piece for more Christmas vibes, hahaha!

Finding the right pair of shoes was pretty tough too so I thought of color blocking. I wasn't quite sure but I find the color of the shoes complimenting with my outfit. What do you think? Fashion blogs avid readers, do you find the shoes familiar? :) :)

Set It Off

Happy holidaaaaays, everyone! How did your Christmas go? How's everyone's holiday break going? :) Mine is pretty short and loaded with endless school stuff. I am just actually on a break from doing a requirement. How the heck can I enjoy my vacation when I am preparing for LOTS of quizzes scheduled and requirements due on the very first day of classes next year? Dear professors, asdfghjkl! I understand what my professors want to say about the "balance" thingy. Like not having too much fun during weekends or vacations and we must squeeze in "some" studying too but never have I imagined that they'd give us THIS MUCH. I swear all the school works I took home with me here in the province (because I really had to) made my holiday vacation way way way less fun :( :( :(

Believe me, I've been trying so hard to think of things which can set off my bad vibes. After all, I can't do anything but to put with these school stuff, yes, while on a holiday break. Sorry if this post contains so much hatred (for some things which effortlessly ruin my break), I just had to rant and let it all out :( Mood about to swing in 3, 2, 1...

So to relax my mind even for a bit, I'm going to share to you another outfit post! :)

I wore this to a Sunday mass and lunch out with family and last minute Christmas deliveries. My key piece for this outfit is the pants. I find the material, the color and the design really unique and so I want more of it in other colors! It was hard finding a top which would compliment the color of the pants so I went for the safest one: black :)

I didn't want to over accessorize since I was heading to church and I was already wearing long sleeves. Necklace plus watch and I was good to go! Also took these sunglasses out for a spin for the first time!

Skinny jeans really emphasize my legs and how they look like they are of a man's. They've been like that since I was a kid. Guess I really took dancing seriously at an early age. :s Oh well, like what I've said before, I gotta flaunt what I have! At least we have something instead of nothing :) Everyone should flaunt even their flaws :)

Paskuhan 2012

Yahooooo for my very first Paskuhan as a Tomasino! Did you go? :) :) I really had fun and I really did enjoy it considering it wasn't that much hassle for me. First, I came a bit early so I didn't have to wait in a long line just to get through the UST gate. And since the place wasn't that crowded yet when we got there, we were able to 1) enjoy food shopping (lots of food stalls and choices!) 2) receive and send text messages and calls and 3) take our outfit photos. :D I came with my friend Josh, a camwhore (hahaha, love you Josh! Mariel, please agree!), so yes... vanity overload!

I knew there would be a lot of sitting on the ground, grass and everywhere so a dress, skirt, shorts or any bottom in bright colors were never in my options so I came up with the pants. Wearing a sweater to an outdoor event where the crowd's insane is really unwise and sort of weird but wearing this lace one is a different story. The material is really light and the holes give me an instant aircon, hehe :p

Instead of wearing a tank top, I wore a floral sports bra as my inner top for a different take on wearing this lace sweater. I find the top dainty so to break the boredom and to match the event (which was rock band studded), I threw in some spikes and neon and colors and leather boots! Uma-arm party! I think it's actually my first time piling accessories like these, watcha think? :) Thank you Keeshan for these bracelets, by the way! ;)

I usually bring a kind of big bag with me because I always bring a lot of 'abubuts'. Some of my friends can attest to this. I blame my mother. Haha, hello maaa! (But a lot more people know na walang tatalo kay Mama pag dating sa preparedness. Her bag weighs a ton ;p) I think everyone has an idea of the scenario when in Paskuhan. Crazy crowd. A lot of jamming. Nonstop walking around the campus. Etc. Etc. So to avoid the stressful carrying of a bag containing a lot of things which I doubt I would use during the event, I went for a mini one and brought my essentials! Hanky (I can't go out without one), UST ID, money (food food and food!), face powder and lipstick (Of course! Retouch retouch din :p), cellphones (Essential? Yes. Useful? No.)

Josh's Paskuhan outfit! Did I mention he's a fashionista too? :) You would really draw your attention to his shoes when you see his outfit!

Feeling may kausap and ka-text! Kalokohan yan! LOL. Tomasinos and Paskuhan goers, if you know what I mean! :P Why, I was just trying my luck :( :( HAHA.

Everybody knows that the best part of a Paskuhan is the fireworks display. Instead of taking pictures and video, I just seized the magical and spectacular moment :> I swear you guys should see a UST Pyro Musical Fireworks Display if you haven't seen one yet! To end the fireworks display, this one sparked above the grandstand. I don't think I'll ever get tired of UST Paskuhan. GO USTE!
